Osvaldo de la Pedraja, Jr. / CEO & President
Mr. de la Pedraja, Jr. is responsible for the overall business
development, operations and strategy of Central Medical Equipment
Rentals, Inc. Mr. de la Pedraja founded the company in 1982
along with his parents: Osvaldo de la Pedraja, Sr., M.D. and
his mother Lucrecia de la Pedraja. This Joint Commission Accredited
company's main purpose is to supply a variety of durable medical
equipment and supplies in the Greater Miami-Dade County area.
The company quickly grew expanding it services into Broward
and Palm Beach counties. This expansion and the ever present
need for the coordination of home medical services throughout
the State of Florida, led to the creation of EMP Medical Services
Inc. a sister company of Central who is an integrated home
care management organization with the ability to coordinate
all components of home care services. Mr. de la Pedraja is
a successful entrepreneur who has over 20 years experience
in medical equipment rentals, home health care and infusion
therapy markets.
Lucrecia de la Pedraja / Executive Vice President
Mrs. de la Pedraja immigrated to this country from Cuba in
1968 and along with her family worked in different sectors
of the health care industry including the home medical equipment
field. Mrs. de la Pedraja is responsible for planning, organizing,
executing, controlling and evaluating the company’s
billing and financial services activities. She ensures that
national-standard codes are properly assigned to medical diagnoses
and procedures and activities conform to legal and procedural
requirements. She is also responsible for managing the accounts
receivable function. Mrs. de la Pedraja also earned a Doctorate
Degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Havana
in Cuba.
Richard Rassi / Director, Client Services
Mr. Rassi is responsible for the company's intake and customer
service area. Mr. Rassi and his staff understand the positive
influence and benefit behind product knowledge, kindness,
courtesy and customer relationship building. Prior to joining
Central Medical Equipment Mr. Rassi studied medicine abroad.
He later worked in the medical case management area with United
HealthCare of Florida and Pan American Health Care specializing
in the ancillary home services area.
Ralph Ruiz / Director, Distribution
Center
Mr. Ruiz is responsible for day to day operations of Central
Medical Equipment's Warehouse and Distribution Center. He
is also responsible for purchasing and makes certain proper
inventory levels are maintained. Mr. Ruiz ensures the fleet
is ready to provide quality services and achieve the goals
of prompt delivery and patient satisfaction. Prior to joining
Central Medical Mr. Ruiz held management positions in the
Durable Medical Equipment field and also worked with law enforcement
